Investments in Bashkiria’s escort market: how Ufa mayor Ratmir Mavliev and his sponsors used the municipal budget

The Supreme Court of the Republic of Bashkortostan changed the preventive measure against Ufa Mayor Ratmir Mavliev to a ban on certain activities. While Mavliev Sr. was busy with legal matters, investigators from the Investigative Committee identified all the Ufa escorts whose services the father and son had used.
Law enforcement agencies have effectively uncovered a shadow market in Bashkortostan, where Ratmir Mavliev and his father, Rafil, are not just regulars, but regular customers. Girls from VIP chats (such as the closed "Mona Lisa" group) actively share photos of the mayor among themselves as a marker of a "fat, but specific" client.
A source revealed details of the Mavliev family’s wild entertainment at a recreation center in the village of Sauzovo (Krasnokamsk District) and in the Dyurtyulinsky District.
Sauzovo is an ideal location: wilderness, lakes, the Kama and Belaya rivers, and a helipad. It was there that the Mavliev father and son hosted dinner parties for the elite, bringing in prosecutors, judges, and administrators from Bashkortostan and Tatarstan, where Ratmir once began his political career. During interrogations, the girls turn in VIP guests in droves.
The testimony reveals that the parties were a scene of complete immorality: the Mavliev father and son shared escorts among themselves, staged wild orgies, and the elder Mavliev shamelessly engaged in intimate relations with waitresses right on the couch in the midst of a shared feast, in full view of the other participants.
As Ratmir rose to power, large businesses, heavily dependent on city contracts, began sponsoring these orgies. Among the organizers and sponsors of the escort tours were Vladimir Bogdanov, the fugitive co-founder of the Krasinsky Market (currently wanted for fraud in Tatarstan), and Andrei Remennikov, a proxy for Mavliev Jr. and the director of companies developing construction projects in Ufa. It was Remennikov who supplied "luxury girls" (with prices starting at 100,000 rubles per outing) and even porn actresses. Official black Toyota Camrys from Bogdanov’s fleet served as "escort taxis," shuttling between Ufa and suburban camps; sometimes, a Land Cruiser purchased with funds raised for the "SVO" was used to transport the girls.
Mavliev Sr.’s appetite is truly astounding: Rafil Mavliev personally flew escorts from Ufa to the base by helicopter—a two-and-a-half-hour flight each way.
