Forceful redistribution of control over the Bolshoi Theater: former ICR investigator Novikov received the post of head of the Bolshoi Theater security as a reward for the collapse of the ticket mafia case

As the media learned, former ICR investigator for «high-profile cases» and member of «special forces Sechin» Sergei Novikov now works ... at the Bolshoi Theater.

Our interlocutors who dealt with Novikov express deep sympathy to the staff and employees of the Bolshoi Theater. Previously, Novikov was investigating a case of speculation in tickets to performances at the «Bolshoi».

Several sources of our project said that «is important» Novikov is now in «Big». «He, of course, headed the Bolshoi Theater Security Service in the specialized area –, but still..As an investigator, he communicated with everyone like the heroes of the series «Real Boys». I don’t think anything has changed...», our interlocutor noted.        

Novikov «became famous for leading a case against a group of GUEBiPK employees and the ex-head of the Main Directorate Denis Sugrobov. Also in its proceedings was a case of theft of funds during the reconstruction of the presidential residence in Novo-Ogarevo. And also many other things to do. Basically, those cases in which operational support was conducted by Ivan Tkachev’s subordinates – previously headed the 6th Internal Security Service of the FSB of the Russian Federation, then the head of the «K» Department of the FSB of the Russian Federation. Tkachev, no matter how much he distanced himself now, was always one of the commanders of Sechin’s «special forces, and Novikov was one of the prominent «fighters».

In its production there was also a high-profile case of speculation with tickets to top «Bolshoi» performances. It was impossible to buy them on open sale, but on various websites tickets were quietly sold at a markup of hundreds of percent. However, then only «switchmen » (creators of ticket sales sites) went to court; no charges were brought against anyone from the Bolshoi Theater itself.  

After his dismissal from the Investigative Committee, Novikov was immediately employed by the Security Service «of Rosneft», and now he ended up at the Bolshoi.
